A bunch of us from XCOR were talking about this over lunch at the Voyager yesterday, and my first comment was, "Well, nuts, now they'll want us to install a tailhook!"

Since our test pilot is retired Air Force, and our safety officer is a Marine(*), there already is plenty of interservice rivalry to go around.

(*) Randall was once introduced for a speech as a "former Marine", causing him to protest "Once a Marine, always a Marine." The M.C. immediately corrected himself, calling Randall a *recovering* Marine. The appellation stuck...

Mmm, the Voyager ... wish I were there, Doug. Wonder when they'll have the "Xerus" special on the menu. Or will that be the "X-Racer" special?
