I am 66 years old and learned enough computer technology to do my job before retirement. However, I am SOOOO impressed with the younger generations
ability to access people through these processes.It is particularly important for our government to be able to do this. Count me in as mesmerized by the capabilities of technology. Oh, were I only younger I have been around for a lot of "firsts" ( TV;Space exploration; etc.)but, I have to say this is the ULTIMATE so far.Keep the information coming, I soak it up like a sponge. Yes, I was an Obama volunteer and tireless worker; and donated money. That was as a direct result of the networking.

As a Small Business which was ousted by our Main Competitors using their ties to High Tech Companies and Search Engine Providers, I am gravely concerned about Obama's possible ties to Chicago University's "Maga Computer" project, as well as some Chicago "Organized Crime" associations. For instance, (without naming names) there exists an Attorney in Chicago who wrote a book, explaining in detail, how Corporate America might defend its Trademark Rights through specific Internet Technologies (circumventing Due Process) in which Small Internet Based Businesses such as is ours, have no reasonable or affordable defense--"Civil Actions" are too expensive and "Criminal Courts" have little to no jurisdiction over the Internet nor its Technologies. Thus,access to our "Rights to Fair Competition Laws" ("The Sherman Act") and "Anti-Trust Legislation" claims went ignored. How was it, that the Obama Website, was awarded Search Engine Provider Rankings and "Visibility" so quickly, when it typically takes years for others (like us) to "earn" those Page Rankings? How was it Obama's Website went "Un-Hacked" or never suffered "Lost Visibility" on the Internet, unless his alliances included specific High Tech Companies which are "known" for providing Technical Leadership in the ongoing development of the Internet, as well as its existing Tier and Platform Management--Cicso, Sun Micro etc...all have ties to Private Equities Investor "Weston Presidio"--as does Harvard, Stanford, Yale Universities, etc. Along with Microsoft (MSNBC) and others amongst the Media, who supported him from Day 1, also provide Internet Experts who provide Techinical Development Expertise in which IANA and other Internet Control Agencies retain and control the Tiers of the Internet as well as various Platforms--some unavailable to the average Internet User.

As an Obama Supporter, I write this with great trepedation, as I am also a "Victim" of Internet Technologies used to oust my small company from competing within the Internet, by way of ISP "Browser Redirects" and "Remote Hi-Jacking" of our Hard Drive.

We reported this "Internet Vulnerability" back in June of 2006 and everyone we went to with our claims, ignored us citing "It's impossible to takeover a computer remotely"--not true. Then, recently Microsoft published an article about this very issue as a Security Vulnerability and glitch in the Internet Technologies Development.

Is anyone planning to investigate Obama's ties to such High Tech Companies and Private Equities Participants within Private and Publicly held companies, along with Academia's ties to the Internet Technologies specifically? Or, is this all part of the "Quiet War" in which the Chinese and Russians have waged upon our Internet? If so, why are Private Equities Investment companies standing to reap huge rewards for its ties to the Obama Administration--why was this not investigated by the Media?

Fascinating, After Emperor Bush socialized banking, all the detractors can say is Obama is socialist because he says we need to sacrifice and he wants everyone to have healthcare? The only reason we have to sacrifice is The republicans ran the economy into the ground and if more american had healthcare, people would work more days of the year since they would be healthier, resulting in more tax dollars.
Is that socialism or merely good government and smarter use of our resources? I think that people are just afraid of what they don't understand, people are resistant to change and it is hard to convince selfish people that giving to the less fortunate can actually benefeit themselves as well.
if the poor weren't sick, the middle class wouldn't get sick and miss work and they would make more money in the long run. Right?

Although not all Americans may like it, Obama is the next President. We need to work together. Maybe using technology will work to get the Americans' ideas and hopes to Pres. elect Obama, maybe not. But we need to do what we can to support this up coming President so that we as a Nation can persevere. As for the comments about 'King Obama', answer me this, what statue replaced Saddam Hussein? And what happened to it? I'll give you a hint, he is a republican, about to leave office. Our next president had a staff so incompoetent hackers got his "private" information. So he can use a Blackberry, so what. Nothing in his past suggests he understands biology or physics and more than the average lawyer or politician. No advisers announced so far have any savvy in those areas, much less all the other sciences. He's a politician, and unless we don't follow him, but push him where the country needs to go, he will be cutting the same deals as Bush, Clinton and Reagan. He supported the Patriot Act and extensions, and he has stated he will be a "defender" of US interests.

His campaign staff used the internet well - to get money and volunteers for the campaign. When did he use the internet for the public good, or for a good cause?

Taking advantage of the web for government use would benefit both the government and its people. Government can dessiminate information more quickly and effectively and this will also allow greater transparency and accountability. Government can also know the suggestions and sentiments of the people and the abuses of the officials. But the web must be used with caution due to web threats which can also do harm for the state functions and activities.
