The first three in your list are off-the-wall but legitimate--if not necessarily scientific. The Onion, however, is a farce. The Onion loves it when their humorous articles get picked up and referred to as news--as when the People's Daily carried the The Onion's article about the US Senate (not the Washington Senators) threatening to move to another city if they didn't get a new facility.
