Yes, Global warming is the big news! I participate in dozens of science blogs and it has been a hot topic on most of them.
  It is almost universally believed we are past the point of putting the planet back to where it was , say 50 or 100 years ago. Now it is a case of trying to slow down the pollution to the point where the big blue marble is a reasonable facsilmile at some point in the future.
