a question i have always wondered about. if one could be a a certain place outside the universe would it look like a spiral?
Is it feasable to create highways (such as the one connecting the rest of Florida with Key West) in the future for travel between continents and islands?  With populations on the increase, would uninhabited islands be used for "pit-stops" complete with hotels, food, and fuel?

I know this is an outlandish idea, but what are the probabilities, possibilities, and problems?
